Something wicked this way comes…
Stockport to host ‘popular’ HALLOWGREEN celebration this October
A spellbinding trick-or-treat trail, roaming performers from the land of Oz, live musical acts, Greenrock fun, costume competitions and more
This Halloween, families are invited to swoop into Stockport as the town transforms into a realm of magical mischief with HALLOWGREEN, a spectacular event bringing a blend of wickedly good fun to Merseyway Shopping Centre and Redrock Stockport on Saturday 26th October.
From 12pm – 3pm, families can make their way to the glittering Emerald City in the undercover mall at Merseyway and enjoy sparkling performances from the most popular oz-some characters.
Children will be encouraged to find bricks around the centre from the yellow brick road for a specially designed trick-or-treat trail. Armed with a magical map, little witches and wizards will be able to collect bespoke pins, ready to attach to their very own emerald lanyards which will unlock a secret password. The password is the key to meeting the iconic Wicked witches, where they’ll discover if they are “wicked” or “good” and receive a spellbinding Halloween treat!
The enchantment continues from 5pm – 7pm as Redrock Stockport is transformed into Greenrock for an evening of captivating entertainment. Kicking off with thrilling performances by The Emerald Singers, families are guaranteed to be dancing through life and singing along to this hour-long set of Halloween pop tracks.
The evening also features trick-or-treating fun for all and a chance to meet iconic characters, where families are encouraged to come along dressed in their most dazzling green costumes. After all, no one mourns the wicked when they’re dressed to impress in Elphaba’s signature shade!
The Halloween fun will continue with DJ sets, costume competitions, wicked games and a mini disco outside Redrock. Plus, families can visit the festival-style makeover station for dazzling green glitter transformations, ensuring that everyone is “changed for good” before defying gravity on the dancefloor.
